The challenge

Our home furniture client has been a trusted name for over 40 years. With a range of well-known brands, customers can purchase products from one of their nationwide stores or through their website. Customers receive a tailored welcome pack containing information about their purchase, payment details, and any finance agreement. Once each new order is confirmed, it’s automatically uploaded to a server, which generates print-ready documents to be included in each pack. 

Consumer Credit Finance is a highly regulated sector and as such, it’s imperative that this information reaches customers accurately and within set timescales. Add in the considerable volume of daily orders and this can quickly become an onerous task for retailers to perform themselves.

The blp solution

As customers can order online, information is uploaded to the server 24/7 and to make sure we meet the ‘same day’ mailing requirement, we download files throughout the day from 6am in the morning. 

Following receipt of the data, personalised packs are printed on our colour digital printers and then enclosed into envelopes using unique matching criteria for each recipient, to ensure that they receive all of the information they require about their new purchase.

Daily volumes can fluctuate significantly depending on the time of year or in line with a particular marketing promotion, which demands a great deal of flexibility in the production process to make sure that all of the packs are mailed out within the agreed timescale.

Print and Mailing

In comparison to mono lasering, colour digital printing allows you to personalise a document in a range of colours. This means pictures, tables, graphics and text can all be printed in any colour and can contain any amount of variable data you’d like. You can also use it as a more economical method of printing small print runs compared to lithographic print.

We control data in a variety of ways through secure servers, SFTPs and email. And our 100% mailing secure environment means we complete mailing projects in a secure facility. Controlled using the Paxton system, where only recognised staff can enter or leave those areas, you can be confident your data is always safe and secure.
